The paper presents typical applications and design rules for hydronic radiant heating panels in industrial halls, where steam is used in primary energy system. Practical examples of pressure-dependent and pressure-independent connections of panels are given.

The paper treats of the condensate from combustion products in condensing boilers. Presented data are useful for practice.

The paper presents comprehensive information about the last heating period in Prague. The climatic data measu­red in Prague - Karlov observatory are presented in tables and graphs giving the necessary figures for the calculation of heating energy demand.

The paper presents the results of indoor and outdoor measurements of air ionisation in Jachymov spa. The results have been compared to the values, which are usual in other localities. The effect of air ionisation on health is discussed.

The paper deals with one of the properties of drinking water, i.e. hardness. Three drinking water sources (Káraný, Želivka, Podoll) for Prague city water main are mentioned and the content of Ca+Mg (mmol/I), Ca (mg/I) and Mg (mg/I) in drinking water is presented.

The methods used in museums, archives and galleries to protect the collections against biological harm. The basic preventive arrangement is to ensure an optimum microclimate.

The simulation model of the existing room internal environment was calibrated. The measured parameters air temperature and resultant temperature were compared with the results of computer simulation. The data measured by hydrometeorological station in Prague were used for external climate definition. Statistical analysis of investigated parameters showed very good agreement of simulation model with reality.
