The second part of the paper is focused on the properties of controllable ejectors with changeable cross-section area of the nozzle. The rules for suitable applications of these devices are also presented.

Practical experience with the operation of combined heat-power (CHP) system is presented in this paper. Operating modes of energy, heat and cold supply for a hospital equipped with co-generation units and also with reserve boiler plant are described. Different alternatives of CHP systems under different conditions are compared. The paper inclu­des various points of view of CHP system operation and usage. Its contribution consists in up-to-date information from the field which should be considered in any reconstruction of a power plant.

The paper deals with corrosion problems such as corrosion initiation and formation, damages caused by corrosion, corrosion prevention in heating systems. Disadvantages of mixed insta/lation are brought to the attention.

The hygienic standard No. 46 dated in 1978 concerns the internal environment quality requirements. ft has been subjected to the discussion of designers and operators of HVAC systems for many years. The prevailing opinion is that this standard should be amended and the professionals have been waiting for the information about new directive values for the evaluation of microclimatic parameters. This paper describes what methodology is being used when preparing the amendment of the standard.

The throttle governing of circulating-Iiquid pumps is usually pertormed by a serial or parallel (bypass) component. This component is a part of the pump or of the pipeline. According to this the operation conditions are evaluated from the view-point of the pump or pipeline respectively. The connection between these two methods is discussed in the paper.
