The article brings a comprehensive and complex information about the present legislation of atmosphere protection in relation to stationary sources of pollution. The descriptions of main pollutants origin mechanism and their impact on atmosphere and human health are contributive. Designers and boiler operators will find here a direct practical utilisation. In the article the necessary calculation relations are indicated including concrete examples which can be used for the calculations of annual emissions, pollution charges, assumed concentrations of monitored pollutants and their comparison with the set emission limits. Important is the information about new obligations of pollution sources operators namely including small boilers. In the form of critical and relevant remarks a notice of some legislative faults is indicated.

The article deals with hydraulic behaviour of two-pipe and one-pipe heating systems under closing the thermostatic control valves.On examples with concrete values it points to different behaviours of one-tube and two-tube heating systems.

In the last years, the interest of indoor air quality became very actually. One of the chemical pollutants affecting indoor air quality is ammonia. This paper provides a review of current theoretical knowledge such as the chemical properties, negative human effects, major sources of ammonia and its hygienic limits in Slovak legislative.

The author prepared the proposal for evaluation of selected factors of dwelling environment. It is based on valid national and international regulations. Under absence of hygienic legislation for evaluation of interiors of dwelling environment in the Czech republic it represents the first step and the author demands discussion and further proposals.

The contribution deals with indirect adiabatic cooling by sprayed recuperative heat exchanger for the demands of air conditioning. The equipment is described, the explanation indicated, air states and state changes are represented in Mollier h-x diagrams. The equations of sprayed recuperative heat exchanger heat balances are indicated.
